Each Curvoflite stair is an incomparable blend of strength and elegant beauty, achieved through superior Old World craftsmanship, perfected in this award winning third generation family business spanning 70 years. A combination of our talented in house design team, working closely with our highly experienced craftsmen, can turn your dreams of a truly unique focal point in your home or commercial application into a reality.

Every stair is individually hand built to your detailed specifications, right down to the components, which are cut from rough lumber, then custom laminated, shaped, and fit to perfection. Our center pole is a round, laminated beam to compliment the roundness of the helix design. Each tread and curved riser bracket is dadoed and perfectly fit into the center pole for strength and beauty, as opposed to rings of treads slipping over a square or octagon shaft. Our center pole continues above the second floor level, just high enough to tie in the platform and balcony rails, and is nicely finished to compliment the balusters selected, as opposed to being cut off at the platform and an inexpensive stock post being the finish detail. Curvoflite's handrails are cut from one premium length board of lumber, then re-glued and pressed into a form to take the helical shape. This process is done so there are no visual lines on our handrails, as is typical of the unsightly black lamination lines normally seen running up and down a handrail made with stock bending rail materials. Upeasements, rail outlet caps, veloutes, and even bulnose starting treads, can be incorporated on a spiral stair, the options are endless.

Design options are endless with the warm, naturally beautiful hardwood. Curvoflite stairs provide a choice of any hardwood specie, or a mix of woods, which can be lacquered or stained to compliment the decor of your home or office, while the pleasing, graceful lines add drama and charm.
